Trail Boss Application
Thank you for your interest in our Trail Stewards Program and in becoming a Trail Boss.

We do not expect applicants to be trail experts. We are looking for individuals who have an appreciation for trails, want to learn more and share that knowledge with others.

What the program entails:

The intent of the Trail Stewards Program is to create a group of skilled volunteers that can eventually lead Volunteer Work Parties and act as WRTC representatives in the field. While in this role we expect individuals to be example setters, from demonstrating trail etiquette to following safety policies.

Primary tenant for participants is maintaining safety and creating an environment and culture that is supportive and welcoming, in-line with WRTC’s Mission and Values. A successful participant in the  program will not just show a proficiency for trail skills, but also an ability to manage individuals, projects and create a supportive environment.
