Three Rivers sits at 1-2, but the Wildcats are better than their record states. Sturgis made a statement last week against Paw Paw, but will the Trojans be able to respond emotionally in time for Friday? Upset time. Three Rivers 24, Sturgis 21.

Both teams sit at 2-1 in the Wolverine Conference and whoever falls short suffers a damaging blow to their title race hopes. Plainwell's rushing attack dominated this matchup last year. Will Vicksburg get revenge? Vicksburg wins, 28-24.

Loy Norrix won its first game of the season by posting 55 points on Niles, but the Knights are struggling on offense lately. Gull Lake also sits at 1-2, with a close win over Benton Harbor and a close loss to Mattawan. Flip a coin. Gull Lake wins, 21-20.

Kalamazoo Central's defense is legit and the Maroon Giants are on top of the world following a win over rival Loy Norrix. Battle Creek Central started 0-2, but picked up a big win over Lakeview last week. Battle Creek Central wins, 28-7.

South Haven started the season strong by knocking off Sturgis, but the Rams have since lost to Plainwell and Dowagiac. Otsego, on the other hand, has struggled mightily in 2015. South Haven wins, 28-14.

After an ugly start to the season, Mattawan has responded with two wins and the Wildcats could make a statement with a win over Battle Creek Lakeview. The Spartans, back-to-back SMAC East champs, are 1-2 on the season and in need of a win. Battle Creek Lakeview wins, 27-24.

Schoolcraft is rolling. Bangor is coming off a tough loss to Lawton. Not the best combo. Schoolcraft wins, 35-21.

Delton Kellogg has lived up the preseason hype as a team that could raise a few eyebrows around the area. Do the Panthers have another big win in them? Going on the road won't be easy. Delton Kellogg wins, 24-21.  

Hartford may be looking for its first win, but it did play Delton Kellogg tough in Week 2. You know who else played Delton Kellogg tough? Gobles. The Indians desperately need a win. I don't think it comes against the Tigers. Gobles 28, Hartford 21.
