WHEDco and Children's Aid Society will be hosting its annual Bronx Summer Fest on Saturdays, September 17th and September 24th, from 12 pm - 4 pm on Louis Nine Boulevard!
The event, featuring local musical performances, family fun activities, non-profit partners, and Bronx vendors, will also connect community members to cultural, economic, and educational resources. Bronx Summer Fest! is an annual event hosted as part of the Department of Transportation's Weekend Walks series. This outdoor event provides fun activities and reimagines the street as recreational space for our community members in Crotona Park East.
We are seeking volunteers to help make sure everything runs smoothly on the day of the event. Potential volunteer duties include Set up; Plenary Support; Production Assistance; and Breakdown.
Volunteers are welcome to stay for the whole event, but we ask that you sign up for a three hour shift: 9:00am-12:00pm, 12:00pm-3:00pm, and 3:00pm-6:00pm. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, refreshments, and meals throughout the day! Wear comfortable shoes and clothes, as you will be walking around and standing for long periods of time.
