At Good News Church we want you to become the best that you can be. God has a dream of you loving, serving and helping people all around you. But to serve others well and effectively the Holy Spirit wants to give you spiritual gifts that empower you to make an effective difference. We need these spiritual gifts because our own natural strength, intellect and abilities aren't enough to get the task done and see the advancement of the Kingdom of God. We need the Holy Spirit empowerment and spiritual gifts to bring the Good News of God's kingdom and love into a dark and desperate world.

Everyone who has come to Christ Jesus and trusted in him as Saviour and Lord are also called to server others in the power of the Spirit just as he did. God wants to advance his kingdom of faith, hope and love through you in Jesus name.  If you haven't done so already I would encourage you to confess your faith in Jesus's death and resurrection and that he is your personal Saviour and Lord by being publicly baptized in water. This helps to consolidate the work of the Spirit in your life. Ask about taking that next step of christian water baptism if haven't done so already.

As a believer in Christ you have been made holy before God by faith in the substitutionary death of Jesus on the cross. Your sins have been judged in full upon Jesus Christ. It's finished - as a believer in Christ Jesus death and resurrection you are clean and righteous before a Holy God. As one who has been cleansed and made Holy before God, you now can ask confidently in Jesus name to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, i.e. immersed and overflowing with his presence. As his presence over flows in your heart, your mouth can speak a new empower language. This a gift that comes with his overflowing presence commonly called 'speaking in tongues', or 'praying in the Spirit'. This spiritual gift enables you to speak from your spirit to the Father directly, without any hindrance from your mind. Your spirit prays, gives thanks and worships God in an unknown language or tongue. If, as a believer in Jesus Christ you haven't already received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the free gift of speaking in tongues, then you can ask for it right now and begin to yield to the Holy Spirit's movements within. Or to help you in this next step in spiritual growth ask one of the Pastoral team. We can't encourage you enough to seek and utilise this wonderful gift of being able to pray and worship God the Father in spirit and truth without the hindrance of your mind. This gift opens the doorway for the other gifts of the Holy Spirit to be received and developed as you yield and exercise your faith every time you pray in tongues.

As a believer in Christ Jesus you are a member of his body and he wants to use you as part of it to building it up and add value to its function in the earth. As a member of the family of God you have your part to play in making the family thrive. Everyone of us are called to our place and to function as a living stone in the temple of God on earth so that his presence can move powerfully amongst us, to touch the people. The Holy Spirit want to use you as a channel of his kingdom love. This is why it is vitial that you become a member or a local church body, committed to growing and serving out of love for God and love for his people. It is within the local church family where we all grow and develop. Have you take the steps of a disciple Jesus to commit to and become a member of a local church? Consider this as your next step if you haven't done so already! It is here within a local church that your spiritual gifts can develop and mature.

You have been giving unique Spiritual Gifts, Heart passions, Abilities, Personality and Experiences that are to be utilised for his purpose. In fact God has SHAPEd you as part of his plans and purposes to bless you and others. When your SHAPE is dedicated to God in humble submission and discipleship you can find great satisfaction in finding your right fit, at the right time, in the right place, with the right people.
