VANGUARD HIGH SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE RSVP/CONFIRMACION DE PUERTAS ABIERTAS
We are delighted that you are interested in visiting our school! (Para espanol, mire abajo)

Each open house consists of student-led tours of the school and a question and answer session with the Assistant Principal, Erica Doyle. 9:00am tours will be able to visit classrooms as well.

We are a small school, and strive to create a personal environment and experience for our students. Therefore, in order to fairly accommodate as many families comfortably as possible, and maintain an orderly learning community, we are requesting that you indicate when you are coming.

Tips:

1.  Please feel free to request BOTH a 9:00am and a 4:00pm tour.  Often, parents will first come to the 4:00pm tour and then bring their child or other family members for the 9:00am tour. We provide letters to schools and employers if necessary.

2. Tours start promptly at 9:00am.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to sign in and start your tour on time.

3.  We are an Educational Opportunity school, which means we select 50% of our students and the rest is DOE lottery. We do consider attendance at an Open House as part of our admissions process.

4.  We will be at the Citywide (September 26-27 at Brooklyn Tech), MS 131,  and Manhattan Borough High School fairs (October 17-18).  Please feel free to stop by and obtain preliminary materials and ask questions about our school.

Gracias por su interes en nuestra escuela!  

Para cada Jornada de Puertas Abiertas nuestros estudiantes guias les ensenaran la escuela y despues la subdirectora contestara sus preguntas. Para visitas a las 9, podran visitar a clases tambien.

Nuestra escuela es pequena, y deseamos mantener un ambiente personal. Para acomodar a tantas familias como posible, pedimos que Ud. confirme la fecha de su visita aqui.

Avisos:

1. Puede venir para mas de una sesion. Muchas familias vienen para la tarde y entonces para la manana.

2.  Los paseos empiezan a las 9 en punto.  Favor de venir de 10 a 15 minutos mas temprano para firmar y empezar a tiempo.

3.  Hacemos admision por "Educational Opt".  Eso quiere decir que escogemos 50% de nuestros estudiantes, y usamos la asistencia a las Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas para determinar interes, mas que notas o examenes.

4.  Estaremos en la feria de High Schools en Manhattan en 18 y 19 de Octubre. Venga a visitarnos ahi antes de venir al paseo, y obtenga informacion sobre nuestra escuela.
