Students have described the program as a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.” A previous participant from Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, CA said, “The class was more than I imagined and surpassed all my expectations! The class lectures…were interesting. The projects and field trips were awesome!”
The course qualifies for three FREE college credits in environmental studies through San José State University. Students must be able to attend the entire three-week course. Printed copies of offical transcripts sent by mail have a processing fee of approximately $3.00 per copy. Online access to transcripts is free.

The priority deadline to apply is Friday, April 27, 2018 by 3:00 p.m. Applications will be accepted after the deadline on a space-available basis.
For 2018, up to 12 students will have the opportunity to be selected to attend the National Flight Academy (http://www.nationalflightacademy.com/deployments/) in Pensacola, Florida, all expenses paid from July 21-28. Please note that while the program is free. Lunch and transportation to San José State University and meetings at Independence High School in San Jose are the responsibility of the student.
