Searching and Finding Home on the Page: The 2026 Naomi C. Chase Lecture in Children's Literature featuring author Kao Kalia Yang
Join author Kao Kalia Yang in a discussion of home in children's literature. Born a stateless child in a refugee camp, Kao Kalia Yang's Hmong family were resettled to St. Paul, Minnesota when she was six years old. Through her award-winning stories centered on belonging, family, and community, Yang has spent much of her life searching for and finding home on the page. 

This year's event will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 5:30-8:00 pm at
Elmer L. Andersen Library, 222 21st Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55455

In-person registration is limited to the first 200 registrants.
