Definition Theatre is inspired to use the arts to strengthen and revitalize our community. Through the act of making, Definition expands perspectives, stewards resources, and bridges the immense possibility found at the intersection of art, innovation, and education.

Definition Theatre, 37 Oaks, and Promise Holdings LLC are now partnering to provide space, resources, educational commerce courses, and capital for Black and Brown entrepreneurs on the South and West Side of Chicago. In working with countless small businesses, entrepreneurs, economic development organizations and municipalities across the country, we see the untapped talent and lack of resources present within our own neighborhoods.

This three-month pilot program offers small, product-based business owners the opportunity to hone their craft while engaging in comprehensive courses designed to provide insight into products, how to position your business in the market to operate profitably, and how to conduct sustainable and scalable community business.
