Childbirth Education, 4 week course;  6:00-8:30pm  Mondays (Sept 8, 15, 22, 29) Please plan to attend ALL four sessions.

*Other children and animals are not permitted, if there is an extreme circumstance please call before registering for the class, as this may impact who can instruct.

Classes offered may have partials or full scholarships available if needed.

The Childbirth course will be four night from 6-8:30pm. The course will cover by not limited to the following:
Pregnancy Changes
Preterm labor 
Glossary and Terms
Stages of Labor
Comfort Measures (hands on)
Pain Medications
Assisted Medical deliveries (Kiwi, Forceps, C/Sections...)
Inductions
Pushing and Delivery
What happens the first hour after delivery.
Early postpartum from hospital to home, what no one talks about
MyMichigan Hospital Tour (optional, as this makes class over time on a single week)
Is there anything not listed that you are expecting to get from this course?

Baby Basics: 
Newborn appearances, bathing, burping, diapering, car seats, swaddling/swaddlers, sleep, feeding 0-12 months, etc.

Breastfeeding Basics: 
Stages of milk, expressing, pumping, latch, engorgement, positions, storing and more
Labor of Love MidMichigan will provide some basic snacks during class. One of the instructors is allergic to tree nuts, therefore we ask that you please not bring any with you. 
Do YOU have any allergies that we should be aware of, so to not offer items that will be harmful to you? (Please fill out for both mom and support person attending).
