Do you have excess produce growing on your property that you would like to donate to the Napa Food Bank?
Napa Valley CanDo volunteers ("gleaners") can come on site and harvest your produce to donate to food insecure families. Gleaners will deliver the harvested produce to the Napa Food Bank for distribution. Your produce donation is tax deductible and the community is thankful for your support.

We ask that donors request gleaners at least 5 days in advance. Common fruits/vegetables (oranges, lemons, tomatoes, apples, stone fruit, etc.) are in the most demand, and current limitations due to COVID-19 may mean that we can not glean your harvest this year.

Gleaners are most often available within the City of Napa, however any location within Napa County are welcome to submit requests.
Zip Code *
What kind of produce do you have available? *
Examples of produce most in need: oranges, lemons, apples, and tomatoes. Specialty produce may not be appropriate for gleaning and donations to the Food Bank.
What is the estimated yield of produce (i.e., number, weight, number of families to be fed)? *
Please understand that due to COVID-19 restrictions at the Food Bank, gleaners can only be assigned to your property if your harvest will be able to be shared with 10+ families.
When do you expect your produce to be ready to harvest? We ask for at least 5 days' notice to organize volunteer gleaners. *
A volunteer will contact you soon to set up the specific dates/times you can make your property available to gleaners.
What instructions would you like to share with gleaners? Are there any hazards or pets on the property that volunteers should be aware of? Will a ladder be needed, and if so, will a 6' ladder or 8' ladder be needed? *
Ex.: limit gleaning to lemon tree in front yard; meet at side gate; ladders required to reach highest branches; hilly or rocky terrain
Would you like a charitable tax donation form from the Napa Food Bank for your records? *
I confirm that I have the authority to have volunteers enter my property and harvest the produce. *
