Backwell Tennis Club is delighted to host these inclusive tennis sessions. We think tennis is a brilliant sport that anyone can enjoy, and we’re motivated to create more opportunities for all young people to thrive by getting active and playing tennis.

These sessions are aimed at and inclusive to disabled, d/Deaf and/or neurodivergent children and young people aged 5 to 13.

Tom Fowler will be your tennis coach. Tom is proud to be the Avon LTA Coach of the Year, he is an LTA Level 3 Accredited+ coach and he is specially trained in delivering adaptive tennis.  Tom is energetic and fun, and is passionate about changing lives through tennis.

During the sessions, Tom will adapt games and drills to fit each participant’s needs ensuring everyone enjoys a fun, friendly and inclusive version of tennis.  We require that at least one guardian/parent/carer accompanies every participant throughout the whole session. Siblings and other family members are also welcome to join in.  All equipment is provided.

Cost: the Taster Sessions are free!

Places are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis.  Please only book for one Taster session.

These sessions have been designed with the support of Access Sport and the LTA Tennis Foundation.  Funding for the court and coaching time for the Taster Sessions is provided by the Backwell Tennis Community Fund (created in partnership with Ovation Finance).
