Crane Rehabilitation Center
Dead End County Jail
With the spur in crime and drug in Dead End county the need to house criminal and addict for a longer period was needed. Crane Rehabilitation Center was built to house those how could no longer be held at the Dead End Police Department jail and do not warrant care at the asylum. Crane is staffed to run as a halfway house as well as a fully functioning prison in order to help adjust criminals to civilian life. Unlike most prison, Crane teaches criminal life skills to help deter the return to crime and other illegal activities.
Crane will offer the following services:
rehabilitation for drug addicts - only when the hospital fails
rehabilitation for criminals to civilian life
incarceration of criminals who violate parole
incarceration of criminals who require more than the PD jail
housing for violent felons
housing for life sentence criminals (these players will be able to pick and choose the sessions to interact with the others.)
Being sentenced to Crane:
Criminals and addicts can be sentenced to a session at crane at any time as long as they meet the following requirements:
To be sentenced, criminals and addicts must submit an application to the warden. Applications are due 1 week before session start dates. Sessions will be announced 2-3 weeks before they start. They will depends on availability of staff and the Warden.
To be considered, you must have committed a crime after the last session that is severe enough to require more than a small amount of time in the DEPD jail. You must also be seen by a lawyer and a judge. Due to time, some cases may be determined NPCly with criminals ooc consent.
Addicts must have been hospitalized for their addiction and tried at least 3 days at the asylum before they will be accepted. An arrest for drugs is not required.
If you are not accepted to Crane for a session, you may reapply for the next session. Please be aware with limited space not everyone will be accepted at the same time. Some case may be put off for another session.
Working at Crane:
All staff will need to apply. Deadline is a week before session starts.
With the limited space there will be only room for the following:
1 Warden
2-3 Guards*
2 therapists
2 counselors
2 educators
All staff must be already working in their field, corrupt is good.
Not all staff needs to be there at all times, some like therapists and counselors can come and go as they are needed. Guards and warden(s) will need to be there through the entire session. The idea is to have guards and prisoners there at matching times, the more diverse your times are the better.
*With Guards being police officers as well, Crane is located in DE meaning if there is an emergency guards can be called away to do duty as a police officer at the discretion of the police captain.
