Cabo Verdean Youth immigrants face many challenges in America, including language barriers, cultural differences, interrupted schooling, and mental health challenges. Our “Cabo Verdean Girls Can Thrive in Education” project aims to combat these obstacles and help lift the burden many youth experience through mentorship and resource connection. We hope to create meaningful experiences for youth to thrive in school, at home, and in the community. This program was designed to welcome and support Cabo Verdean immigrant youth who have recently migrated to Boston from Cabo Verde to succeed in and out of the classroom.
