On Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., meet Museum of the Earth scientists and educators!
PRI's annual Teacher Resource Day on Saturday, October 11th, from 9 am to 12:30 pm, at the Museum of the Earth has tables full of free fossil and geological specimens and other educational materials for teachers to use in their classrooms. The event is free and exclusively for teachers.
This year's keynote, "Teaching everything with mollusks, everyone's favorite phylum they don't know the name of," will be presented by
Dr. Brendan Anderson, Visiting Professor at
the State University
of New York College at Oneonta. Dr. Anderson was
part
of the design team for
the Marvelous Mollusks exhibit.
We'll also hear about the Autumn BioBlitz in a short presentation. This
BioBlitz begins on Friday, October 10th and runs through Monday, October 13th, intentionally surrounding Teacher Resource Day.
The first 50 registrants receive a gift bag! If registration exceeds 50, we will maintain a waiting list. If you register and find yourself unable to attend, please let us know.
