2026 Application: Honors Scholar Designation
This form must be completed to receive Honors Scholar Status. 🏅

The deadline to apply for Honors Scholar designation is F, March 20, 2026 for students transferring in Fall 2026.

The requirements to receive Honors Scholar designation are as follows: 

Completion of a minimum of 15 semester units from LIST A, or A and B, with grades of “C” or better.*  

A maximum of 6 units from List B courses.  

Achieve an overall transferable grade point average of 3.40 or higher by the end of Spring 2026.  

A maximum of 2 courses (from list A or B), that you intend to count toward the 15-unit requirement. These courses may be  taken in the final semester prior to transfer.* 

Only the courses in LIST A carry an Honors notation on your transcript.  The courses in List B are labelled with the number "15" to designate an Honors Contract.

Note: List B classes appear on your transcript with a code 15 for Honors credit received, rather than the H for designated Honors courses.

You must meet with an academic counselor for a 30 to 60 minute appointment and petition for graduation and a degree by March 20, 2026 in order for your name to appear in the Cabrillo graduation commencement program on May 22.

You should have your general education certified for either CSU GE Breadth or UC I-GETC at the end of the spring semester by submitting an Official Transcript Request to Cabrillo’s Admissions and Records. Cabrillo Records will send the GE certified transcript directly to the universities to which you have applied.
