Want to pattern test?
In the future, when I'm ready to have a pattern tested, there will be a "call for testers". This forum is not a call for testers, but rather an application to be on the wait list for testing a pattern. A way for me to keep a list of contacts who would like to test. This way I can simply look up the list of emails and send them the "call for testers" forum when patterns are ready to be tested. I learned about this yesterday 10/4/1014 and I was like, wow, that's brilliant!!

Pattern Testing
Have you test sewn for a pattern before? *
Which designer(s) have you tested for? *
Feel free to link blog posts here if you wish. And if you haven't tested before simply write 'none'.
May I contact the designer(s) you've tested for? *
Sewing Skills
What is your sewing skill level? *
Where has your sewing taken you? *
Check all that you've mastered/done. And we're mostly talking about working on the sewing machine here.
Required
What type of things do you usually sew? What sort of fabric do you commonly use? *
You may link to examples of your work, perhaps you have some posted in your blog?
Have you sewn with swimwear fabric before? *
If you have sewn with swimwear fabric before, what was your experience? *
Did you do just fine or was it difficult? If you have not sewn with swimwear fabric just write that in the box.
Tricky stretch technique.. Neck and armhole binding. *
Finishing the neck and arms the way I do on my swimwear, is probably different than you've ever seen, (If you've done swimwear before) I don't use elastic. I use a strip of swimwear fabric cut 2 1/4" wide and long enough to make it around the neck or arm hole... I place the strip along side of the edge I want to finish. Tack it in place with a few stitches and then proceed to stretch the strip with one hand, then place the strip that is stretched onto the edge of (lets say the neckline) which is not stretched at all at this point... then together I stretch and sew them. The idea is basically to stretch the strip more than the garment, giving it elasticity! Its like using strip of swim fabric as an elastic itself. Once I go all the way around the neckline I turn the binding strip inside the neckline, carefully stretch and topstitch with a decorative stitch. Now.. what I want you to do is tell me what you would do with this information. I will be most impressed with anyone who wants to try and tackle this step. But if you want to use regular swim elastic and apply it how any regular swim pattern would tell you to.. I am okay with that. Extra props to anyone who follows the pattern exactly though :-) *I would be remiss if I didn't say again that its a tricky step. You would probably have to be advanced to get it. I wonder how many people could do it?! I'm so curious! Tell me, what do you think you would do??
Photography
What is your photography skill level? *
Are you willing and able to provide 4-7 photos of the modeled garment? *
Extra points for giving examples of photos you've taken!! You may post links to your blog/website/other here.
May I use your photos on my blog, in the pattern, in social media, etc.? *
I will not claim them as my own. I will give credit to the photographer!!
What I'd like the photos to look like. Sure there can be some close up detail photos.. I shall need to see the fit for sure. But I'd also love some pretty photos that can be posted in a blog too. After all, people love pretty pictures!! I know some moms don't want their kid's face/head in the photos that might be posted to the internet. I would prefer the photos do have heads/faces in them, at least most of them. Outdoor photos are most awesome because of the natural light! Best photos are taken on an overcast day where its not too bright. So this question is basically to determine what sort of photos you'll be taking... fit photos, beautiful outdoor photos of full model walking down lovely path or smelling flower, or petting a dog..?, heads chopped off in every picture photos (which I don't particularly care for..), my dream photos lol! *
What sort of photographer are you? (Please note that I will not give any names of any children modeling the garments, nor names of any family members..unless it is toally fine with the mothers to do so!!!)
