After-School Program (Youth Empowerment for Latinos): This program empowers the next generation of leaders by creating a safe, supportive space for students after school. It helps with homework, engages in meaningful play, and mentors young minds to build confidence, character, and leadership skills and shape their future.
Student Mentorship: Visit students during school lunch or class to provide mentorship and encouragement. Help them build confidence, set goals, and develop leadership skills to support their growth in school and beyond.
Adult English Classes: Support an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher in the classroom by helping students with assignments, reinforcing lesson concepts, and offering encouragement. No formal teaching experience is needed—just a passion for supporting English learners.
Food Market Host: In partnership with local organizations, help set up, run, and tear down our food markets. Assist immigrants in selecting food, answer questions, and create a welcoming, dignifying experience.
Community Support: Create a warm, welcoming environment for immigrant families at the Immigrant Welcome Center. Greet visitors, offer support, and help connect them to resources.
