Departmental Information for Transfer Student Success (DITSS)

To better support pre-major Transfer students during their initial advising and registration appointments with their assigned UAA/ OMA&D advisers, we invite departments to share program-specific information that may not be easily accessible on public websites—especially details that are particularly helpful for incoming Transfer students. Please follow these instructions in order to share content.

This is a collaborative effort to ensure students receive the most accurate and timely guidance as pre-major transfer students transition to the University. Submitted information will only be shared with UAA and OMA&D Advising, as well as New Student and Transfer Programs professional staff, and will be used to help students make informed choices early in their academic journey.

  • Important course sequencing that is not obvious to those outside programs
  • Course registration information
  • Do you hold spaces for pre-major transfer students? You can list add codes for direct registration.  
  • Sample schedules (if normally given to transfer students)
  • Important handouts that are normally given to transfer students
  • Prerequisite/admissions tips not immediately obvious on the website
