  • The number of horseback archery competitors is limited to 20 participants. (first come first served)

  • Mamluk Games is exclusively open to  only Mamluk Academy members.

Competition Requirements and Examination 

  • To compete in Target Archery (18m), Long Distance (60m), and Flight Shooting disciplines, participants must hold a Culban Yellow Tiraz rank or higher.

  • To compete in Tabla4 and Qabaq6 disciplines, participants must hold a Karanis Brown Tiraz rank or higher.

  • Only those who have completed Mamluk Academy courses and hold a Culban Brown Tiraz rank are eligible to apply. During the examinations to be held on June 22, Brown Tiraz holders may take the Julban Yellow Tiraz exam. Candidates who pass the exam will be eligible to compete; those who do not pass must acknowledge that they will not be permitted to participate in the competition.

    To participate in Horseback Archery competitions, holding a Karanis Brown Tiraz rank is mandatory. However, individuals who hold a Julban Tiraz but have not yet taken the Karanis exam must submit their equestrian (riding) videos to " site@mamlukarchery.org " after their application. These videos will be evaluated, and approved candidates will earn the right to take the Karanis Brown Tiraz exam on June 22. While those who pass the Tiraz exam will be eligible to compete, those who do not pass must acknowledge that they will not be permitted to participate in the horseback archery parts.

Accomodation & Participation fees:

Competition fee: €300 ( 5 days Lunch at stable, Transportation from hotel to stable and Competition)
Spectators fee: €100 ( 5 days Lunch at stable, Transportation from hotel to stable)

- Single Room - €660 ( 6 nights & breakfast and dinner )
- Double Room - €460 pp ( 6 nights & breakfast and dinner )
- Triple Room - €360 pp ( 6 nights & breakfast and dinner )

Competition Disciplines

1. Ground Archery (Target & Long Distance)

  • Target Archery: Conducted at a distance of 18 meters, using a 60cm "Tabla" target. Format: 5 arrows x 5 sets (25 arrows total).

  • Long Distance: Conducted at a distance of 60 meters, using two 60cm "Tabla" targets. Format: 5 arrows x 5 sets.

2. Horseback Archery

  • Tabla4 Track: A 100-meter track featuring 4 units of 60cm "Tabla" targets. Time limit: 14 seconds. Total of 6 runs.

  • Qabaq6 Track: A 100-meter track featuring 2 "Kikach" and 1 "Qabaq" target. Time limit: 14 seconds. Total of 6 runs.

3. Menzil - Flight Shooting (Limited)

  • Equipment: Bow draw weight must be under 50 lbs.

  • Ammunition: All types of arrows (traditional or modern) are permitted.

  • Format: Each athlete has 5 shots. The furthest distance achieved is recorded.

4. Mamluk Saber Tournament (Pilot Program)
The saber discipline has been included in the 2026 program as a "Pilot Competition." Participation is optional. Fights will be fought with synthetic swords.

  • Categories: Organized into two main categories: Men and Women.

  • Scoring: Results will not affect the "Mamluk Games General Classification"; specific trophies/medals will be awarded for this branch.

  • Safety: Necessary protective gear (masks, chest guards, etc.) will be provided by the host clubs in accordance with safety standards.

Rules for Clothes:

All competitors must wear traditional clothes.

The hotel is located 7 mins from the venue and 45 mins from the city center. Shuttle service between the hotel and the venue is included. For city center access, a taxi or rental car is required.
