Would you support the launch of a Beach Wheelchair Service for Portobello, Edinburgh?

Modelled on the successful North Berwick Beach Wheelchairs service, the Portobello service would provide FREE wheelchairs for hire by the hour to wheelchair users and their families. The service would be funded by donations and run by volunteers.

To get started, the proposed Portobello service will need:-

A small team of volunteers to form a steering group to launch the service

A larger group of vounteers to answer booking calls and meet and greet service users once it is up and running

A location to store the wheelchairs for hire

Some funds to purchase suitable equipment
