Use this form to submit your interviews for the $750 Challenge
See the details of the Lean Startups Challenges - including how your $750 can be spent at https://150startups.com/lean

ONLY problem discovery interviews registered before the deadline count towards the 25 needed to qualify for the $750 Challenge.

THE FORM STAYS OPEN PAST THE DEADLINE so those who do not get their problem validation interviews in before the deadline can still enter them after the deadline and continue on to the $1,500 challenge even though they will not receive the up to $750 available to those who register their interviews by the deadline.

The purpose of these 'interviews' is to discover if people have the problem you have identified, if so which people and what actions have they taken in the past to try and solve the problem.

These interviews must be with a person who is paying for something (aka customer) - not a user who gets something without paying for it.

SURVEYS VS INTERVIEWS. Surveys assume you know the right questions to ask. And because surveys are multiple-choice, you also need to know the right possible answers to list on the survey. At this stage, we don’t know what we don’t know so SURVEYS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN at this stage!

Be sure to read ALL the instructions - INCLUDING THE ONES AFTER YOU SUBMIT DATA

Have 25 ONE ON ONE / SYNCHRONOUS  interviews - NOT SURVEYS - where you ask past-oriented questions to people who are NOT FRIENDS OR FAMILY OR PEOPLE THAT ALREADY KNOW and who potentially have the problem you want to solve.

Listen more than you talk. Do not mention your solution. Do not say the words "would" or "could". Do not ask any future-oriented questions.

YOU MUST FILL OUT THIS FORM 25 separate times for your interviews to count towards the $750 Challenge

Your first 3 interviews must be for the SAME PROBLEM SAME GROUP. If you wish to change one of those after the first 3 interviews you may.

PAST INTERVIEWS DO NOT COUNT!

ONLY those interviews conducted on or after Saturday,  April 30, 2022 count.

What is YOUR email address NOT the email address of the person you interviewed? *
Which problem are you trying to validate? *
What is the name of person you interviewed? *
Someone you reasonably believed had the problem you are looking to solve before you spoke to them.
How did you talk to this person? *
TRIGGER: When did the problem start happening? *
DESIRED OUTCOME: What were they hoping to accomplish? *
ALTERNATIVES: What options did they look at? *
COMPETITION: What option did they eventually choose? *
VALUE PROPOSITION: What made them choose that solution? *
VALUE-BASED PRICING: How much did they spend? *
DISSATISFACTION: On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the highest) how happy are they with their current/existing solution? *
What was your first interviewee bifurcation question? *
Bifurcation questions divide  those you talk to into two distinct groups. E.g. Male or Female, Rent or Own, Full-time or Part-time. You are welcome to use any question you like as long as you ask the same question every time and it allows you to segment those you talk to into two distinctly different groups..
What was their answer to your first bifurcation question? *
What was your second interviewee bifurcation question? *
A second bifurcation question allows you to split those you interview into four groups which allows for greater granularity and a better understanding of which group(s) are more likely to become your future customer.
What was their answer to your second bifurcation question? *
What was your third interviewee bifurcation question? *
A third bifurcation question allows you to split those you interview into eight groups which allows for even greater granularity and a better understanding of which group(s) are most likely to become your future customer.
What was their answer to your third bifurcation question? *
Where can I find more people just like you OR do you know anyone else I can interview?
When the person you are interviewing appears to be someone in a group you want to target you want to know where you can find more people just like them that you can interview. Where could you find 10 more of this customer segment (as identified by answering the customer bifurcation questions) in the same place on the same day ? (e.g., Do you know anyone else I can interview?)
I DID NOT mention my solution or ask future-oriented questions during the interview. *
Required
This interview was conducted with a real person, who is a total stranger - NOT A FRIEND, WORK ASSOCIATE OR A FAMILY MEMBER, who has the problem I'm trying to solve (or I reasonably believed they did before the interview). *
Required
I know that by lying about the people I interview I could jeopardize the program for others. *
