If you have a skill, our dogs would love to know about it, no matter how big or small! There is no limit to how many areas you can participate in, but we want to make sure everyone gets to participate in their top choice.

Dog contact opportunities for youth (under 18) are limited; there are lots of other ways to help C.A.R.L. dogs. There are no shortage of other opportunities. You are also more than welcome to join a team in an area you are not familiar with but would like to learn about. We will train you!   Adoptions and walking dogs at the sanctuary are important; if you would like to help dogs in other ways there are plenty of other opportunities equally vital to finding dogs homes.
Direct Dog Care
Includes walking, transportation, playgroups, socialization, C.A.R.L. Pals, washing, grooming, special needs and training. Requires additional training.
Adoptions
Includes adoption center, mobile events, kennel events and fostering.
C.A.R.L. Boutique Thrift Store
Help staff and maintain C.A.R.L.'s new Boutique Thrift Store. Proceeds benefit C.A.R.L., so the more we sell, the happier our doggies are!
Facility Support
Includes painting, repairs, improvements, landscaping, laundry, sewing/mending blankets and beds, vehicle maintenance, general upkeep, etc.
Outreach / Community Support
Outreach includes: publicity, photography, videography, social media, newsletter, advertising and rescue/shelter liaison.  Community Support includes: fundraising, resource acquisition, community events, grants and donations recognition.
Volunteers
Includes application, orientation, assignment, database entry and feedback/follow-ups.
