FREE Tyfu Powys Community Orchard Workshops

Do you dream of developing a community orchard? Join Tyfu Powys for a bespoke series of workshops for Community Gardens in Powys where you will learn techniques and tips for developing and managing your community orchard, delivered by The Orchard Project.

You will receive a certificate of attendance and recognition on completion of the course.

Sessions are online and face-to-face. We encourage groups to attend each of the sessions, but know this won't always be possible*.

PAST EVENT Mon 29th July (at Cultivate) – Summer pruning practical
PAST EVENT Mon 9th Sept (at Cultivate) – Soil, pests and diseases, and supporting the biodiversity of your orchard sites

Mon 18th Nov (online) – Winter pruning introduction

*Sessions will take place on Mondays throughout 2024, except for the online introduction which is on a Wednesday.

Online Workshops: 10am – 12noon on Zoom (links will be emailed)

3 x Practical Workshops: 9.30am (for a 10am start) – 3pm meet at Cultivate (8 minute walk from the orchard): Pendinas, Llanidloes Rd, Newtown, SY16 4HX. www.cultivate.uk.com - lunch will be provided, please share any dietary requirements with us.
