Food waste concerns the loss of raw or cooked food materials before, during or after meal preparation in the home as well as food rejected in the process of producing, manufacturing, distribution, retail and food service activities. This survey aims to get data about food waste generated by the consumer and what uses they do. This survey is within the scope of the VALICET project (Valorise foods and Improve Competitiveness through Emerging Technologies applied to food by-products within the circular economy framework), aiming the development of innovative and sustainable processing solutions capable of converting agro-food residues into sustainable natural high-added value compounds to be reincorporated into the food supply chain, to improve functionality as well as to extend the shelf-life of traditional Mediterranean food products. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
