CA Coastal Cleanup Day has been hailed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “largest garbage collection” (1993). Since the program started in 1985, over 1 million Californians have removed more than 15 million pounds of debris from our state’s shorelines and coast.
2014 marks the 30th Anniversary of CA Coastal Cleanup Day. Volunteers are encouraged to reduce the environmental footprint of the Cleanup. Please join our efforts this year by participating in the "Bring Your Own" philosophy by bringing your own grocery/retail plastic bags (for reuse), bucket and/or reusable water bottle to make this event ZERO WASTE.
