2019 Homecoming Parade Application
This is an application to participate either with a float, car, or walking group in Alhambra High School's annual Homecoming Parade. The parade will leave for Main Street from Alhambra High School at 3:00 on Friday, September 20, 2019 The parade will head down Alhambra Ave, turn right onto Main Street and end at the end of Main Street. We ask that everyone help us with keeping the parade route safe and free of trash. Alhambra High School will post the parade line up on Thursday Oct 4 by noon on the front page of the website. Deadline to apply into the parade is Tuesday Oct 2 . We ask that all parade cars come into the lower parking lot on E Street and check in as they enter the parking lot. We will have someone greet each car and direct the cars according to their number to the appropriate line. Any questions can be directed to Marianne Griffin, Student Activities Director, at
. Please note that at the end of the parade route all students must ride with seat belts and follow all traffic rules. NO students will be able to ride on floats/pick up trucks back to Alhambra after the parade.
What is the name of your community or school group?
Alhambra High School proudly presents Homecoming 2019 "Adventure Awaits", the floats should be designed based off of a Pixar movie. The following class themes have been chosen: Senior Class of 2020 - Up, Junior Class of 2021 - Toy Story, Sophomore Class of 2022- , and the Freshmen Class of 2023- The Incredibles, John Muir Elementary, , Las Juntas Elementary- , John Swett- , St. Catherine of Siena- (We will update as quickly as we can with updates as schools/groups submit their entries)
The parade line up starts at 2:30 from the Alhambra High School's lower parking lot by the football field. Groups can also "fold" into the parade in front of city hall. Which place will your group be starting from?

. Each group will be contacted by Wednesday Oct 3 with their parade line up number. This line up will also be posted on the school website as well.
Alhambra High School believes this is a parade to represent the many positive programs and schools within our city. School administration asks for no political entries please. We also ask that candy NOT be thrown into the crowds. Candy or other items may be handed out to people. We are trying to keep the parade route clean and safe for everyone. Do you have a convertible you would be willing to drive members of the 2019 Homecoming Court?
We usually need 10 convertibles from 2:30 p.m. until 4:15ish on Friday, Oct 5. We try to put two members of the court in each car to drive down Alhambra Ave, turn right on Main Street, and then take them back to Alhambra High School.
