Kedric and Liadranne have pursued the mysterious Benefactor to the city of Kerrin, where the untimely assassination of Kerrin’s noble leader throws the city into a state of turmoil. Prevailed upon to help quell the rising unrest, the two wizards uncover a far-reaching conspiracy that stretches from Kerrin all the way back to Senture, threatening King Arnoldt himself!

Returning to the familiar streets of Senture, Kedric and Liadranne face new obstacles as Kedric navigates balancing his duties to the Collegia Magica, to the King, as a husband, learning what it means to be a half-elf, and how to be an adoptive father. His attention stretched in so many directions at once, Kedric must maintain his life as a responsible noble, a far cry from his carefree days as a wizard-in-exile, and prevent the Benefactor’s plans from coming to fruition.

But to do that, he must first discover the identities of the Benefactor’s new agents and learn how to stop them from achieving a victory that would mean doom for Senture and the Collegia Magica.
