The Newburgh Enlarged City School District After-School & Saturdays Program offers enrichment and academic opportunities for middle and high school scholars in an Extended Day setting.
After school programs offer scholars the opportunity to work with and talk to teachers and peers in small group settings. Scholars are provided with opportunities to learn new skills or engage in new activities based on their interests. These programs also provide academic enrichment activities and services to enhance the growth and development of our scholars and families. Programs focus on academic improvement, social and emotional learning, enrichment opportunities, and the health and well-being of our scholars.
Empire HIGH SCHOOL is available to scholars in grades 9-12 attending the following schools: Newburgh Free Academy Main, Newburgh Free Academy North, and Newburgh Free Academy West. Currently programming will be offered in two buildings: Newburgh Free Academy Main and Newburgh Free Academy North.
The programs will be offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, unless otherwise noted. There will also be upcoming opportunities for programs on Saturdays, including Regents Review, ENL Support for Newcomers and enrichment programs based on interests.
Transportation will be available for scholars participating in NECSD After School Programs. Start dates for programs are still tentative. If these dates change, information will be provided as soon as possible.
