Ohr Kodesh Volunteers with Yachad
Ohr Kodesh is joining Yachad for the nation’s largest home/community repair program sponsored by the Jewish community.

Yachad preserves affordable housing in the metro D.C. area by repairing homes of long-term residents. Roll up your sleeves and lend a hand working together with a homeowner to make critical repairs.

We are volunteering with Yachad on Sunday, May 19. We will be working one shift from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. When you volunteer with us, we work together as a Jewish community, learn new skills, and have a ton of fun. Your time and energy will transform a space into a special place to call home.

Participation includes a $25 registration fee. Funds will support building materials and skilled tradespeople for the project.

We welcome youth 14 and older; they must be supervised by an adult. Let us know if you are bringing a teenager.

Please let us know of any health restrictions we should keep in mind (i.e. asthma, problems lifting, issues with dust, etc.). Yachad uses non-toxic products, including non-toxic paint and cleansers.
