Selection process
All breeding companies will have one assured place at the workshop. Any applicants volunteering to lead a training session will earn their company one additional place (with a threshold in place if application numbers are high). Otherwise, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Leading an online tool/application session
The main idea of this workshop is that training sessions are applicable to breeding research. By having the training sessions led by members of the breeding community or students doing breeding orientated projects, we hope to achieve this. Training sessions will consist of a short introduction to the online tool/application, and a list of questions for the class to work through which can be led throughout or applicants can be left to themselves with leader and helpers going round to help individuals (see https://drive.google.com/open?id=1mJmBiLJXaNWLuYh1bo7ioCihNkeshsEs for example worksheet). Please be assured that you don’t have to be an expert on this tool by any means and you certainly don’t have include every feature it has in your training session. Training sessions will last between 30 minutes and 1.5hrs (session leaders can specify a required time for their session once an online tool/application has been assigned to them).
