Rise Together is a nonprofit venture that connects UVA Undergraduate students enrolled in the Curry School of Education, Youth and Social Innovation Department with AVID students at Walton Middle School, Western Albemarle High School and the Piedmont YMCA.  Rise Together provides weekly mentoring, leadership, academic and personal growth opportunities that promote inclusion, positive social norms, and high school/college/workforce readiness.

Rise Together relies upon the support of local businesses that share our vision and commitment to education.  With community support, Rise Together will continue to provide academic, social and personal guidance to students that are working to develop their confidence, vision and sense of purpose.
