Riverstone Bernedoodles works hard to ensure each and every one of our Riverstone pups is loved and well cared for. Guardian homes are a pivotal way our program can continue to breed beautiful pups for our local families without having to re-home our dogs once they are no longer breeding.  Please answer the questions below with honesty as we only want to best for our Riverstone pups and want to find families that are the best match for our program.

Tell us about your family's day to day schedule. How long is any pet left alone daily?
Puppy's can be susceptible to many disease until they are fully vaccinate at 16 weeks. Do you agree to not bring your puppy to any pet stores or in person training, or around any busy area with unknown dogs until then?

Can you commit to covering all regular pet expenses including but not limited to proper veterinary care, grooming every 7 weeks, as well as basic training?

Do you agree to ensure to keep the guardian dog away from any intact dogs during the contracted period? Riverstone Bernedoodle's hold exclusive breeding rights. The guardian dog must NOT be neutered or spayed without our knowledge or consent, and any accidental breedings will result in fines as this is immensely damaging to the reputation and program.

Hip Dysplasia can be caused by activity related injuries prior to closure of a dogs growth plates. Do you agree to consciously limit the guardian homes activities during the first 18 months, including minimizing jumping off furniture and in and out of vehicles, carefully managing stair cases, limiting any strenuous exercise including hikes/runs?

Grooming is an essential part of a Bernedoodles overall health, and is also important for the reputation of our program. Do you agree to have your guardian dog professionally groomed every 7 weeks? Riverstone reserves the right to request specific grooming styles.

In the event that a guardian puppy can no longer live with your family, do you agree to return the puppy to us immediately? The guardian puppy is NOT to be rehomed.

How many hours per day will the puppy be left alone?

Do you understand that all puppies require a great deal of time and dedication, including daily training and activities? How will you adjust your current lifestyle to ensure the guardian puppy is properly cared for?
Please list all family members in the household with ages. If there are young children in the home, do you and your children understand that every puppy needs consistent training to eliminate puppy behaviours such as nipping and jumping?
Do you agree to follow the guidelines of Riverstone Bernedoodle's dietary choices for the guardian dog? We only want our guardian dogs fed quality dog foods.
