The competition is free and open to the public to participate. Spaces are limited. Participants must be 18+ to participate.

Contest Overview
  • This is a timed eating contest. Participants will have 5 minutes to eat as many hot dogs as possible.
  • Each hot dog includes both the sausage and bun.
  • Water will be provided. 
  • A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner will be announced after all rounds have concluded. 
Prizes
  • 1st place: $500 Cash and Trophy
  • 2nd Place: Lake Area Adventures Gift Card & Trophy
  • 3rd Place:  Lake Area Adventures Gift Card & Trophy
  • Most Creative Name: Trophy
Official Rules
  • Participants must remain at their assigned table during the contest. Participants can sit or stand.
  • Contestants may have water on hand, but other kinds of drinks are allowed.
  • Hot dogs must be fully swallowed to count (no “cheeking” or storing food).
  • Contestants must show an empty mouth at the end of the competition.
  • No sharing or tampering with other contestants’ food.
  • Judges’ decisions are final.
  • The contestant hay consumes and keeps down the most hot dogs and buns after 5 minutes will be declared the winner. There may be multiple rounds in the competition.
  • A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner will be announced after all rounds have concluded. 
  • In case of a tie, contestants will go to a 5-hot-dog eat-off to see who can eat that many the quickest.
  • Further ties will result in a sudden-death eat-off of eating one more hot dog in the fastest time.
