PSCA Workshop Proposals 59
The three-day PSCA conference provides an excellent opportunity to showcase exemplary practices specific to the profession of school counseling. Proposals will be selected on the basis of proven exemplary programs, partnerships, or practices, which promote school counselor knowledge, skills and “model” programs.
School counselors, school counselor educators, administrators, PDE staff, among others are encouraged to submit proposals. Sessions will be one hour in length.
Proposal Submission Requirements
Deadline – May 15, 2014
• Presentation Proposal Form: The proposal is to be submitted electronically on or before the close of business on May 15, 2014. All fields of the proposal must be addressed/completed to be considered for the conference. Incomplete proposals will be ineligible.
• One page vita attached to proposal of lead presenter and any co-presenters. This is necessary to offer Act 48 and CEU credits.
Selection Criteria
Proposal selection is based on the following:
➢ Degree to which the proposal aligns with the conference purpose and theme(s).
➢ Clarity, organization, and feasibility of presentation proposal.
➢ Include evidence-based or promising practices.
➢ Potential to replicate and build capacity of outcome-driven practices.
Notification
You will receive written notification regarding your proposal status by September 1, 2014.
If you’d like to provide the audience with handouts during your presentation, you will be responsible for supplying 50 copies and two electronic copies of all materials in an accessible format.
Conference Registration
• PRESENTERS ARE REQUIRED TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT.
• Presenters are required to register for the conference. Accepted Skill Builder Workshop presenters will receive a $50 discount on the Conference Saver Package (Thurs.-Sat. / Limit 2 per workshop) OR a $25 discount on the one and two day conference registration package (Limit 2 per workshop). Graduate students are not eligible for this discount. Graduate students register at the special graduate student rate.
• Workshops are not to be used for promoting or selling merchandise/materials.
