Waste/by-products management
This interview is within the scope of the VALICET project (Valorise foods and Improve Competitiveness through Emerging Technologies applied to food by-products within the circular economy framework), aiming the development of innovative and sustainable processing solutions capable of converting agro-food residues into sustainable natural high-added value compounds to be reincorporated into the food supply chain, to improve functionality as well as to extend the shelf-life of traditional Mediterranean food products.
The aims interview is to gather data about the management of agro-food wastes or by-products, their availability in amount and along different periods of the year and their current uses of by-products, to study potential economic and social valorization.
