Former Indiana teachers: Why did you leave teaching?
Indiana is making raising teacher salaries central to its 2019 legislative agenda, with the goal, lawmakers say, of keeping teachers in the classroom. But for years, we've heard that teachers are leaving their jobs for all kinds of reasons: Not enough pay, too much testing, near-constant changes, or even a lack of respect.

Chalkbeat wants to learn more about the people behind the shortages. If you have recently left a teaching job, we'd love to hear your story. Please fill out this brief form so we can get in touch. We promise not to share your information or your story without your permission. Questions? Email our team at in.tips@chalkbeat.org.
