Audition Information – Disney's Newsies

We’re excited to announce auditions for our upcoming production of Disney's Newsies, directed by Jake Emmerling!

Who Can Audition:
Students ages 6 to 18 who are enrolled in Trimester 1 classes at Stage Right! are eligible to audition. Students who are not enrolled in a class may still participate, but a $195 participation fee will apply.

Audition Date & Location:

Monday, August 24, 2026 (5:30 PM - 9:30 PM)

VOCAL & DANCE AUDITIONS

DANCE AUDITIONS will take place in two different groups, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM and 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Based on your availability, you will be scheduled your vocal audition. Please block off available times to include one of the two dance audition times. Bring tap shoes if you have them. Though this is known as a 'dance show,' we encourage non-dancers/movers to attend and have fun!

CALLBACKS

Callbacks by invitation only. Sides will be sent out, but be prepared to cold read/sing. YOU MAY BE CAST IN A ROLE YOU WERE NOT SPECIFICALLY CALLED BACK FOR.

📍 Stage Right! Studios – 105 W 4th St, Greensburg (Entrance and parking off 3rd Street)

Audition Requirements:

Please come prepared with a 32-bar cut of a song in the style of Disney's Newsies and either clearly marked sheet music or a track (instrumental/karaoke version) to sing with. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. If you would like to be provided a pre-prepared cut please check the box in the section below.
Students should also be prepared to cold read in the audition room, sides will be provided.

Rehearsals & Performances:
Rehearsals will begin Wednesday August 26th, 2026. Rehearsals are 5 times a week in the evenings.
The show will be performed at the Westmoreland County Community College the weekend of September 25-27, 2026
