Join the coaches, volunteers, and players of the Schenectady baseball program and develop a better understanding of the game and practice/improve fundamental baseball skills. The league is created to provide our youth with a baseball experience that they can continue to advance through the varsity level. We encourage any skill level to try out the sport with us! I am creating this league for Schenectady, starting out small and seeing how far I can take it, if numbers continue to grow. I want baseball to be known and heard within the community, so please have yourself and your child be a part of the process.
I am looking to develop a dominant program from youth programs all the way to the student-athletes experience at the varsity level here at Schenectady. This league's cost is $20. Each player will get a shirt and awards will be given to players at the end of the season. If signed up, I really encourage the dedication from everyone to make sure that our athletes have the best chance for success.
The league starts in July and ends August 10th. The league will run on Sundays (12:00pm - 2:00pm). We will split that time up for skills and the games for the last hour. The Sundays for the league are as follows: 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10. We will be hosting the league at Schenectady High School, on the turf or inside the high school gyms if weather is not cooperating. The league cost is $20. Please bring the $20 to the first Sunday that we host our sandlot league. Money will go towards uniforms and support of the Schenectady Baseball Program for years to come.
