Welcome to Soapmaking at Silent Spring Farm!
Each guest will create a full 36 oz batch of goat’s milk soap—enough to yield nine 4 oz bars. Choose a scent that speaks to you and design your own color palette. We offer a wide variety of included seasonal fragrances, along with natural clays, spices, and botanical colors. For those feeling bold, there are 20+ artist-grade colors, shimmers, and glitters to play with!

Soap takes 3–4 weeks to fully cure. Pick-up or shipping is available after that time.

Class Notes:

We host groups of up to 15-20
Large classes (10+) may take over 2 hours.
For classes with 6 people or fewer, you may make 2 batches each.
For larger groups, 1 batch per person is standard.
Payment is due after class (Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check).
Farm guests receive $5 wholesale pricing on bars to take home!
Breastmilk soap: bring 8 oz of frozen milk per batch in a cooler.

Classes are offered Monday through Saturday at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Sunday Availability
We’re happy to open the farm on Sundays for private groups of 8 or more. Because Sundays are reserved for special events, a minimum booking total of $350 is required to reserve a class.

Sunday sessions are available at 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM and must be scheduled in advance.

Each batch is $45, If you're splitting a batch, each person pays $22.50 + a $5 split fee, so $27.50 per person.

You’ll each pour into your own silicone mold and can even choose a Scent Each—a fun way to share the experience and get more variety!

🥛 Interested in a Raw Milk Flight?

We raise three different breeds of goats here at the farm, and on any given day, you might get to sample milk from 2–4 unique does. We’ll have a full gallon ready for tasting, and any leftovers are yours to take home and enjoy!

It’s a rare chance to truly taste the difference between breeds—and appreciate the subtle flavors in fresh, raw milk straight from the source.

🌿 Upgrade to All-Natural Essential Oils – $55 per Batch

Want to scent your soap with pure essential oils? There’s a $10 upgrade (making your batch $55 total).

We’ve carefully selected oils that hold up well in cold process soap—most essential oils fade when exposed to the heat of saponification (up to 180°F). These oils are slow to ship and must be ordered in advance, so:

✅ Each checkbox = 1 batch with that essential oil

⏳ Orders placed the week of class may be limited to what we have on hand

🚫 Please don’t bring your own oils—we use safe, tested quantities and suppliers

By participating in a soapmaking class at Silent Spring Farm, I understand and agree to the following:

I acknowledge that soapmaking involves the use of potentially hazardous materials, including sodium hydroxide (lye), and I agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor or staff.

I accept full responsibility for my safety and participation, and I release and hold harmless Silent Spring Farm, its owners, employees, and representatives from any liability, claims, or damages arising from injury, illness, allergic reaction, or property loss during my visit or participation in any farm-related activity.

I understand that I will be responsible for hand-washing my own soap dishes or assigning someone in my group to assist.

I acknowledge that animal interactions may occur on the farm. I understand that proper handwashing is required after any contact with animals to reduce the risk of illness or contamination.

I understand that all animals at Silent Spring Farm are treated with care and respect, and that the farm adheres to ethical, humane husbandry practices.

I understand that photos or videos may be taken during my visit or class for marketing and promotional purposes. I give permission for my image and likeness to be used unless I opt out below.

If I am signing on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I am the legal parent or guardian and agree to these terms on their behalf.

I understand that each participant is responsible for hand-washing their own soap dishes or designating someone in their group to handle dishwashing duties on their behalf.
