What time does Summer Blast start?
You can check in your child(ren) starting at 8:30 and the event will begin at 9am.
How old does my child need to be to attend Summer Blast?
Summer Blast is for children ages 3 through 5th grade.
What do I do to check-in when I arrive with my child(ren)?
You will check in your child(ren) in at the designated check-in desk beginning at 8:30am EACH DAY. You will then take your child to the designated seating area for his/her group and meet your child's group leader.
Can my child(ren) be in the same group as their friends?
Yes, however, they must be in similar age groups. We do not take requests in advance for friend groups due to the overwhelming volume of children. You can plan to meet with the parent of your child's friend the first morning and go through check-in together for your children to be in the same group. Communicate with the check-in volunteer that you request your child be in the same group.
Can I stay and see some of the program?
Volunteers are welcome to stay. Otherwise, parents are asked to return at dismissal only.
Can my child(ren) just meet me outside at the end of the day?
You must pick your child up in their designated small group area at 12pm each day. You must present your child's claim ticket to their small group leader. If you have designated someone else to pick up your child, you need to fill out proper information during registration.
What if my child will be picked up by another individual?
If you have designated someone else to pick up your child, you need to fill out proper information during registration. No phone calls will be permitted.
Will childcare be provided before or after Summer Blast?
Child care will NOT be provided before, during, or after Summer Blast unless you are volunteering with us. Check-in will begin at 8:30am each morning, and the program will end each day at 12pm.
Will lunch or snacked be served during Summer Blast?
Yes, snacks and lunch will be served each day. If your child has a food allergy, please make sure to fill out the detailed information on the registration and notify the check in volunteer when you check your child in.
What age can my child be a leader?
Children entering the 6th grad and up can be a leader. Your child must be 16 years or older in order to lead a group.
What if I can volunteer but not every day?
We need lots of volunteers to run smoothly. Even if you cannot commit to volunteering with us every day, we would absolutely LOVE your help! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Pastor Noely at noelyskinner@gmail.com.
Will my child receive a shirt?
Shirts will be available for purchase at the event. They will be $10.
What if my child wants to get baptized, when is this available?
At Fairview: The Grace Place, we want this to be a special and memorable moment in your family's life, so we will baptize your child(ren) when it's convenient for you and your loved ones to gather. Pastor Noely is readily available for questions and arrangements.
