Community Member Scholarship
KLIC endorses and models a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equity that permeates all coalition activity. Because of this, KLIC will award community members scholarships to ease the financial burden. CEUs will not be offered to Community Members. Scholarships will be prioritized community members who represent a traditionally marginalized community and an under-represented racial/ethnic group.

Purpose: The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for anyone wishing to attend the annual KLIC conference.

Scholarship award: No money will be given to the recipient. The KLIC conference fee will be paid on behalf of the scholarship recipient. The scholarship is non-transferable.

Eligibility:The applicant may be anyone.The application must be completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.The applicant must be interested in learning more about breastfeeding/chestfeeding and advocating within the community where he/she lives. Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to apply again for two years.

Deadline: October 10, 2018

Amount of Financial Assistance: The scholarship amount equals the registration cost of the conference. Travel and lodging fees are excluded.

Number of Scholarships Awarded: The Executive Board will select scholarship recipients per calendar year as scholarship funds are available. The scholarship award is non-transferable.

Selection: The KLIC Executive Board will review eligible applications. The scholarship recipient will be notified via email.
