Chelmsford High Female Athletics Title IX Survey
Dear CHS Alumna and Coaches,
Chelmsford High School's Title IX 50th Anniversary Committee members believe that critical life skills and confidence, at least in part, can be traced to our high school athletic experiences. Decades of research have found links between athletics and improved academics, confidence, self-esteem, voice empowerment, and professional success. We want to find out how you feel your Chelmsford High School Athletics experiences have contributed to the development of these life skills.

THE HISTORY
Congress ratified Title IX in 1972, which protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities. One of the most dramatic changes resulting from Title IX came in the exponential growth in opportunity for female athletes.

COMMITTEE'S GOAL
CHS has an illustrious history of successful female athletic programs that has never been told until now. You are invited to participate in an online survey created by the Chelmsford High School Title IX 50th Anniversary Committee, which will collect the stories of CHS female athletes, managers, and coaches who have been positively impacted by Title IX. These individual stories will contribute to a published book that will not only be a tribute to the importance of Title IX, but that will represent the best of Chelmsford High School. We intend to continue collecting surveys in order to reach as many alums as possible.

If you have questions or concerns at any time about the survey, you may contact me via email at kathleen.ralls@gmail.com.

Thanks so much for participating! We are counting on you to share this link with your high school teammates to reach as many alumnae as possible.

Sincerely,
Kathleen Ralls & Maura (Devaney) Duah-Asamoah
