Portland Public Schools invites families to participate in upcoming community conversations as part of the early planning for the Growing Great Schools initiative.
This session is part of a community learning phase, where we are gathering input from families, students, and community members on how the district should approach future conversations related to school closures and right-sizing.
This is not a decision-making meeting. No schools have been identified or selected for closure. Instead, this is an opportunity to share your perspective on what matters most, so that district leaders can better understand community priorities, impacts, and considerations before any decisions are made.
Your feedback will help shape how future engagement is designed and will provide important context to the Board of Education as planning continues.
We are offering three opportunities to participate:
- In-Person Session: April 11, 2026 | 2:00–3:30pm
- Virtual Session (Zoom): April 20, 2026 | 6:00–7:30pm
