2014 UNITE for SIGHT GLOBAL HEALTH AND INNOVATION CONFERENCE
The Global Health and Innovation Conference (GHIC) at Yale University is the largest global health conference of its kind, convening leaders in thought and practice from diverse sectors of global health, international development, and social entrepreneurship. From April 12th-13th, changemakers from across the globe will meet in New Haven to share, learn, and innovate. This year's keynote speakers include Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute, Sonia Erlich Sachs, Director of the Millennium Village Project, Seth Godin and Michael Moss of The New York Times, and Gary Hirshberg of Stonyfield Farms. The Center for Global Health will provide up to $500 each to 5 UVa students selected to attend and represent UVa at the Global Health and Innovation Conference. If you are interested in attending GHIC, we invite you to submit a statement (500 word maximum) outlining your interest and objectives in attending GHIC and how you expect attendance at this event will enhance your education and future plans.
