TECHNOLOGY 1: The DIMSTYLE Problem.
We are learning how to properly dimension drawing in AutoCAD and how to use the DIMSTYLE command to change the color of your dimension lines and text to the color CYAN.  Unfortunately, this style does not stay from one drawing to the next.  Below are the instructions for how to address this problem.  Please complete these steps as your first "problem" of AutoCAD 4.

If you do not complete this, Mr. B. will not know.  However, every time you start a new drawing, you will need to rework the DIMSTYLE to make your dimension lines blue.

Call your new template "blue_dims_style," this will be saved as a .dwt file. In the OPTIONS box, click OK. *
Close your drawing and, from the START TAB, click on the NEW DOWN ARROW MENU>BROWSE TEMPLATES.  Open your blue_dim_style.dwt file. *
Your blue_dim_style.dwt file might also be in the "Recent Files" window.  You can open it there, as well.
Check your ANNOTATE tab in the Ribbon again.  Your BLUE_DIMS should now be a permanent option, as long as you start your drawing with your blue_dim_style.dwt template each time.  By the way, this information is saved on the hard drive of your computer.  If you switch computers, you will need to set up another template. *
