This form is for players/families interested in trying out for the 2026 9U Brunswick Dodgers Baseball Teams.
In order to qualify for 9U Travel Baseball in the spring/summer of 2026, the player must be 9 years of age or younger as of May 1st, 2026.
Brunswick Dodgers Community Travel Teams:
Primarily made up of kids that reside in Brunswick or attend Brunswick City Schools. These teams are both competitive and focus on player development. The team will compete in the Cuyahoga Valley Baseball Association (CVBA) League.
2026 Tryouts:
July 15, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm at Mooney Park in Brunswick, Ohio. If you are unable to attend, please make note in the comments section at the bottom of this form.
Commitment:
Travel ball is a commitment. Travel teams practice twice a week starting in January. Coaches will begin off season practices during the winter or even late fall months. This includes a combination of indoor field time, as well as hitting/pitching/catching instruction in batting cages. Season and tournament play begin in early April. The travel season typically runs through early July. The league playoffs are usually the first two weeks of July.
Teams will play approximately 20 CVBA league game, plus 3-5 tournaments and playoffs, for a total of ~35 to 40 games per season. Being on a travel team is a commitment. The Ohio spring rain brings game reschedules and we will often having multiple game nights per week. Player attendance at all practices and games is expected.
Cost:
Each individual team will be responsible for conducting their own fundraising to make playing baseball affordable. In addition, there will be an organization based fundraiser that will help lower expenses for each team/family. Compared to other organizations, the cost of playing baseball for the Dodgers typically ends up being minimal after completion of fundraisers.
