AMP Mentor Sign-up Form

Asian & Pacific American 101 Mentorship Program, more commonly known as just AMP, aims to provide support and guidance for first-year students at the University of Michigan using an Asian & Pacific Islander American lens. Many of AMP's mentees go on to become leaders in other student organizations, such as the Asian American Association, the Taiwanese American Student Association, and the Society of Women Engineers. Of course, what is a mentorship program without great mentors? So we're asking you to bring your experience and knowledge and pass it along to our mentees!

This year, AMP will be implementing one-on-one mentorship. This means that, unlike in the past, each mentor will be paired up with one mentee at the beginning of the year. Along with this new systems comes a couple of (very easy) requirements:

1. You must meet with your mentee outside of our weekly meetings at least twice per semester.
2. You should regularly attend our weekly meetings, which will be in the YK Lounge (South Quad) from 7 - 8:30 pm on Tuesdays, barring exams or other extenuating circumstances.

Meeting your mentee can mean grabbing some coffee, eating at the dining hall, studying at the Fish, watching a movie, or whatever you two see fit. If you cannot meet the second requirement for some reason but are interested in being a mentor, please fill out this form, anyway. Additional guidelines will be provided for mentors to help both them and their mentees have the best experience possible as members of AMP.

Not interested in being a mentor, but still want to attend our weekly meetings? That's fine, too! Please fill out this other form letting us know you're interested:
