MENTAL HEALTH - Mindfulness has been proven to benefit mental health and well-being in the right circumstances, however, please remember that these mindfulness practice sessions are not a treatment for mental health or addiction issues.
If you have recently or are currently receiving treatment from a psychiatrist or psychotherapist for an ongoing mental health problem, please ask your mental health professional for advice on whether to enroll in training at this time.
Additionally, if you have recently or are currently going through a traumatic life event such as a separation, the death of a loved one, or being laid off from a job, this may not be the best time to begin this training. Everyone is different, and it depends on your current mental state and the support network you have around you. People who resign from the training for these reasons may take up the training at another time.
If you are currently taking medication for mental health problems, it is recommended that you do not change your medication unless you work closely with your doctor.
