4. The fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu is the Vamana avatar. Mahabali, the grandson of Bhakta Prahlada had captured all the three worlds. To take back the three worlds from Mahabali, God took the Vamana avatar.

When Mahabali was performing a yagya, Lord Vamana asked him for three steps of land. Mahabali immediately agreed.

Then Lord Vamana took a huge form and placed one of his feet on the earth and the other on the heaven. The third step was placed on Mahabali's head.

Thus Lord Vamana asked for three steps of land and became the conqueror of the three worlds. That is why he is called ______.

Human birth is the rarest

We saw that God is the seed of 84 lakh creatures. Human is the best among all the species. We can attain God only in human birth.

The life span of a human is about 100 years. In these 100 years, man spends half of his time in sleep (because he sleeps more as an infant and child). Then 30 years are spent in school and college education, marriage and children. Some years are spent in career, travel, solving the heaps of materialistic problems and rest in other activities. Thus he has very limited time left for his spiritual sadhana. The earlier he starts reading the Gita and scriptures and adopts them in his life, he will benefit the most.

We should try to use every available precious moment that we get for spiritual progress. It is very rare to get human birth so we should make use of this birth and be very firm to PASS the EXAMINATION of our life to reach GOD.
