Mexican muralist and social activist, Libre Guitierrez, is coming to San Francisco to lead a mural-painting community event in the Bayview/ Hunters Point in partnership with San Francisco State's EDvance program, FACES San Francisco, and Jumpstart. Libre is known internationally for his mural paintings and sculptures that are created to inspire hope, build community, and brighten up impoverished or vulnerable neighborhoods/settings.
Libre previously worked with SFSU students during the 2018 South Africa Study Abroad Tour, painting a mural in the Township Vrygrond.
